Hallowe'en witch Hallowe'en pumpkin

The word "Hallowe'en," is said to have originated in the Catholic Church. It is a contraction of "All Hallows Eve" which falls the night before "All Hallows Day" on November 1st which is also
known as "All Saints Day."

The reason for the use of the apostrophe is because the word comes from two words, "Hallowed evening."
