Cover of 101 Grammatical Tips This booklet, the fourth in the series of six, presents the Parts of Speech. The idea of using this approach came from the constant question of why a sentence was incomplete. When the explanation was given that a sentence required both a noun and a verb in order to be complete, further discussion ensued as to parts of speech.

Having previously taught students in a post-secondary college, I understood the problem. While the subject of grammar may be taught in schools, sometimes it is not emphasized sufficiently or refreshed in later grades when other courses take preference.

The booklet includes alternatives to wordy expressions and the bonus provides an outline of a letter with all components explained.

On our website, further explanations can be found with some hints as to how to recognize nouns, verbs, etc.
